I internalized everything society told me. Before I came out I struggled w/ depression and it got to the point where I was going to take my own life, because, quite frankly, I hated myself. I have been out nearly 7 years now (age 16, sophomore year of HS).
See BC resources: bit.ly/BCLGBTQ and area resources: bit.ly/ma-lgbtq There are also Boston area groups if you prefer something off-campus. There are some great BC groups where you can meet supportive peers. People who are questioning their sexual orientation are also welcome. You don’t need to be certain you are gay before talking to someone or attending an LGBTQ+ meeting. There are many people you can safely talk to about your feelings and questions. Maybe some day we’ll have the courage to come out. It’s hard for me because you can’t talk to anyone w/out revealing your secret.
But don’t despair- speaking with a BC counselor or a LGBTQ-friendly advisor can help you work through the conflict that you are feeling. states and countries have actually banned conversion therapy. Conversion therapies try to change one’s sexual orientation, but they have not been successful and in fact may be harmful. Scientific research has shown that sexual orientation is not something that can be changed. People seem to forget that.I like guys but I don’t want to be gay. Politically incorrect doesn't mean morally wrong, by the way. And for you to act self-righteous because you're above ever calling anyone a politically incorrect name seems every bit as shitty to me. You might not like it, but that's human nature. And people are gonna attach a name to it. It's not because of their race or sexual orientation people have a problem with them.

Until he calls me a cracker or a skinhead or tries to pull the race card to get what he wants. If I see a black guy on the street, I think nothing of it. If you're straight and dress/act that way, there's no difference. The lisp and flamboyant dress and behavior are obnoxious. But to say that it's ignorant to be pissed off by gay people trying to making their homosexuality a big issue for people when it wouldn't necessarily be otherwise? I don't see how that's ignorant. Using them publicly doesn't help anything. If you're a woman, it'll probably be bitch. If you're black and they're not, they'll go for nigger. They're generally gonna use the most prominent feature, or the thing that makes you the most different from them. Or rural folk.īasically if you're being an ass, people are going to want to label you. I'm cussing you and calling you a stupid fat redneck piece of shit in my head. Consider this: If you're fat and white and have poor hygiene and are rude and obnoxious and inconsiderate in public, guess what. I can completely see where people are coming from with both arguments. >!insert spoiler here!< Other subreddits you might like: some
